The winters bring lots of snow to play in. Snowmobiling, cross country skiing and dog sledding can’t be beat on our freshly groomed trails which meander through the forests to Crater Lake National Park, Crescent-O’Dell Lakes, Diamond Lake and our very own Miller Lake. Make plans now to join us for the 20th Annual Chemult Sled Dog Races coming up on January 18-19, 2014. For more information on the races check out www.sleddogchemult.org The Recreational Activities page has links to snowmobiling information.
The summers give us an abundance of sunshine in our High Desert climate. The wide variety of outdoor recreation opportunities such as hiking, biking, bird watching, camping, boating, fishing, hunting, & exploring the Volcanic Legacy lands which surround us are sure to keep your attention.
Summer also brings Chemult Mountain Days. This is a family-friendly summer festival held each July. The event features a carnival, vendors, food, children's activities, and more! A couple highlights of the festival are the pie eating contest and the nightly music and dancing. The next Chemult Mountain Days will be held Friday, July 11, and Saturday, July 12, 2014.
